Program:
Many jurisdictions are adopting the International Building Code 2015 and NFPA 72 2013 National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code. Both codes include significant changes to previous editions. Mr. Wells is providing participants a summary of the changes and insight into how they impact Healthcare Facilities.
Kirk is also making attendees aware of the latest advancements in notification appliance technology. Benefits include more efficient installation with associated cost savings and improved notification appliance testing. About the Speaker:
Kirk Wells has 40 years of experience in the Fire Alarm industry with Regional duties including technical, sales support and presentations for 30 SimplexGrinnell Districts Offices in the South Central and South East USA
Regularly providing counsel, opinions and education seminars to a wide variety of customers, Architecture and Engineering firms and internal employees on fire codes, solutions and technology associated with multiple integrated electronic systems.
Associate Member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers Association and Vice President and Board Member for the Texas Fire Alarm Association along while recently performing as the Interim President for TFAA. Also a member of NFPA, and AFAA while also serving on a NFPA Technical Committee 232 “Standard for the Protection of Records”.
About the Organization:
HAAHE is a non-profit group organized specifically for the benefit of the Healthcare Facilities Management team. Membership is focused on Hospital Facilities and Safety Management staff. In addition, Engineering Consultants, Contractors, Vendors, and Architects whose primary function is to provide consulting, design services, and products to the hospital engineering environment are welcomed.
The purpose of HAAHE is to provide a forum for continued improvement of hospital engineering in the greater Houston area. The venue for improvement will be through education, sharing of experiences between members, and presentations by experts in their respective field on a bi-monthly basis. If you are already a HAAHE member, please get involved by attending our meetings every other month. If you are not yet a member, you may join by completing a membership application at the next meeting. Lunch is included and will be free for paid members and $20 for non-members.
For the Calendar year 2017, we are now accepting membership renewals. Membership fees will be:
Hospital employees: $50.00 annually
Vendors/Associates: $100.00 annually
Sponsorship:
Sponsorships are available for each luncheon session. For $300 per vendor, you will be allotted a single table space to display brochures and wares prior to the luncheon presenting, will be recognized on our website as a luncheon sponsor, and will be introduced prior to the session start.
