September 10th at 11:30 AM – 12:45 PM
Crowne Plaza, Reliant Park/Medical Center

Program:
NFPA-99 “Healthcare Facilities Code” recently made changes designating all Operating Rooms as “Wet Procedure” Locations, unless a documented risk assessment proves otherwise. While this does not change the requirements for Isolated Power Systems (IPS), the utilization of IPS is increasing. Furthermore, the session will discuss best practices in the design, installation, maintenance & usage of such systems.

Learning Objectives 1: Understand the NFPA-99 Code changes as it relates to Operating Rooms and "Wet Procedure Locations"
-
Learning Objectives 2: Understand the theory of operation of Isolated Power Systems and Line Isolation Monitors (LIMs)
-
Learning Objectives 3: Understand best practices for the equipment selection, installation and maintenance of Isolated Power Systems and Line Isolation Monitors (LIMs)
-
Learning Objectives 4: Understand how to respond to a Line Isolation Monitor (LIM) Alarm
